Animal Collection Overview
What animals can you see at Cotswold Wildlife Park? Over 260 species across 160 acres, including Asiatic lions, Southern white rhinos, reticulated giraffes, red pandas, Humboldt penguins, ring-tailed lemurs, Brazilian tapirs, Chapman’s zebras, giant anteaters, and free-roaming peacocks. There are no tigers at the Park — Asiatic lions have been the resident big cat since 1995.

The Park’s resident big cat since 1995. IUCN status: Endangered. Best viewed mid-morning when most active. No tigers on site — the Asiatic Lion is the only big cat species here.

Southern White Rhino

Brazilian Tapir
A gentle, semi-aquatic mammal and part of the Park’s international breeding cooperation.

Giant Anteater
Look for the distinctive long snout and bushy tail — most active in the cooler parts of the day.
